Huntsville, AL (July 1, 2019) – Avion Solutions, Inc. announced David French has been named new Chief Financial Officer effective July 1, 2019. In this role, French will be responsible for all financial activities of the company. Kerry Doughty, who had been serving in this role, will transition into an advisory role with Avion Solutions through December 31, 2019.

Doughty served as Trustee of Avion’s 401(k) and Plan Administrator of the ESOP Plans. He is a Past President of the New South chapter of the ESOP Association, a Board member of HASBAT, a member of the Institute of Management Accountants, and a Past President of the local chapter of the Association of Accountants and Financial Professionals. Doughty also served as Vice President of the Mississippi State University Huntsville/Decatur alumni chapter.

French brings over 30 years of financial experience across engineering, manufacturing, and logistics services firms in government and commercial markets. Prior to joining Avion Solutions, he served as CFO for CFD Research Corporation, CFO for Agility Defense and Government Services, as well as Senior Vice President and CFO for Siemens Government Services. French earned a Bachelor of Business Administration from Georgia State University and a Master of Accountancy from The University of Alabama in Huntsville.
