Energy Alabama, a Huntsville 501c(3), and Avion Energy Solutions announce a pretty cool event we have coming up called a Benchmarking Jam!
On Thursday, July 28, we will host Benchmarking Jam at Salty Nut Brewery on Clinton Avenue in Huntsville. At this free event, local business representatives will have energy engineers and experts on-hand to help enter and verify utility data using ENERGY STAR Portfolio Manager. Portfolio Manager is an online tool used to measure and track energy and water consumption, as well as greenhouse gas emissions. We use it to benchmark the performance of one building or a whole portfolio of buildings, all in a secure online environment.
Energy benchmarking is the process of measuring how much energy a building consumes and comparing it to the same data from similar structures. This benchmarking “jam session” will bring energy experts together with business leaders to maximize energy and water efficiency throughout the community. In addition, businesses will be able to identify potential projects eligible for ENERGY STAR certification.
Tickets are free, although space is limited. The jam begins at 5:30 p.m. and finishes at 7:30 p.m. Two beer tickets from Salty Nut will be provided.
