Huntsville, AL – Avion Solutions, Inc. announces that Steve Cope, the Director of Marketing & Public Relations, has retired effective January 3, 2019.
“Steve Cope worked diligently for 13 years to raise the profile and awareness of Avion Solutions in Huntsville and beyond,” said Chad Donald, President of Avion Solutions. As Director of Marketing and Public Relations, Cope provided leadership and oversight of Avion Solutions’ marketing strategy for government and commercial markets. Prior to joining the firm in 2006, he held senior leadership roles with aerospace companies across the Tennessee Valley and served as Mayor in Tullahoma. “I’ve been honored to work with the incredible staff of Avion Solutions and can’t wait to see what their future holds,” said Cope.
Cope’s marketing duties will be shared between Michael Jones, Avion Solutions’ new Marketing Manager, and a new Director of Business Development. Jones brings 17 years of specialized marketing and communications expertise to Avion Solutions. Prior to joining the firm, he delivered creative tailored marketing and communications solutions for organizations across the United States in a variety of industries, including professional services, architecture, software, government, and more. “I’m excited to work with some of the best engineers in the Tennessee Valley and share how our team positively impacts the community,” said Jones.
