Avion Takes Action Awards $15,000 to Three Non-profits
Avion Takes Action, the employee-led giving fund of Avion Solutions, has recently awarded $15,000 in grants to three non-profit organizations: Alabama Kidney Foundation, Healthy Establishments at Local Schools (HEALS), and Mission of Mercy of Corpus Christi, Texas.
The Alabama Kidney Foundation (AKF) is the only state-based organization dedicated to assisting low-income kidney patients, providing direct financial assistance, education, and support services. AKF helps patients meet daily living expenses, including utility bills, prescription medications, and transportation to and from the dialysis clinics. The $5,000 grant from Avion Takes Action will support AKF’s efforts to meet low-income patients’ daily living and transportation needs in Madison County and surrounding areas.
HEALS has established clinics in public schools, which offer medical, dental, and optometry services to under-resourced children. The $5,000 grant from Avion Takes Action will support HEALS’ ongoing operation of clinics in Huntsville, Madison City, and Madison County schools.
Mission of Mercy will utilize the $5,000 grant to provide free medical care, including management of acute and chronic conditions, dental and vision services, and primary care to uninsured and under-insured individuals in the Texas Coastal Bend area around Corpus Christi.
Avion Takes Action, funded entirely by employee contributions, supports non-profit organizations in the local communities of Avion’s employee owners. The fund accepts grant applications throughout the year and makes quarterly awards.
